Over the years there have been some pretty strange, unusual and downright bad covers on the many thousands of science fiction books published over the years.
However, to many fans the cover of a book tells a different story, it shows that this genre is different from the rest and this point has not gone overlooked by some publishers either.
Orbit Books are looking for what they are describing as “The Most Awesomely Bad SFF Cover in the World” they are asking fans of the genre to come up with ideas and post these in the comments section here http://www.orbitbooks.net/2009/07/06/the-most-awesomely-bad-sff-cover-in-the-world/ where a winner will be chosen.
Once they have sorted through the ideas, Orbit will provide the all the details needed to get the creative ideas to flow.
It is a great opportunity for someone to get involved in the creation of a science fiction book cover.
