For Stargate fans, everywhere the date has been set for the premiere of the latest addition to the series.
As normal this time of year in the US is when the broadcasters show off the autumn season and for the newly renamed SyFy that is no exception.
Stargate Universe has been in the pipeline for some time, there have been images and video clips released to tempt and tantalise, but finally the date for the premiere has been released and it will be on Friday the 2nd October 2009, at 9pm ET/PT the two hour special will be aired.
The show that stars Robert Carlyle, Lou Diamond Phillips and Ming-Na will be launching a new era of Stargate stories and this also means that shortly afterwards the show will be heading for the UK too!
