The new ABC science fiction drama FlashForward is being branded as the next “Lost” and so when it comes to hit US shows of this genre the obvious home for it would be Sky One, but the satellite broadcaster appears to have missed this opportunity because FlashForward is going to Five.

The drama follows a global event that has caused the entire population of the planet to blackout for a few seconds; in that short time, they experience a glimpse of life six months into the future.

The series of thirteen, one hour episodes has been produced by the Disney ABC studios; this is why Five has got the series, because it has come as part of a wider package. Five show a lot of kid’s content on the “Milkshake” segment of the channel.

The series will launch in the US on the 24th September at 8pm, the UK premiere is expected to be a few days after.
