The thing about a time travel based story is that there are infinite storylines and this is where the Terminator series of films really comes into its own, it uses time travel to change the future.
However, what future is there for the Terminator film franchise?
It seems that the future could be bright as the franchise is about to go up for auction with the highest bidder walking away with an established brand, but what sort of money are we looking at here and who is the favourite to walk away with the prize.
Recently the franchise for the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles was sold for $60 million, so the Terminator franchise can be expected to at least reach that figure and so far, the only favourite in the frame would be Sony Pictures.
