There is nothing like a wedding to get the attention of people, even if it is the wedding of a little known star of science fiction.
Sarah Jane was best known for being one of the more popular assistants of Dr Who, but since the resurgence of the Dr Who brand, a new series aimed at kids was born.
The Sarah Jane Adventures follows the former Dr Who assistant in her new role as protector of the planet from alien invaders.
But as with all characters Sarah Jane does have a life too and when she is not fighting off invaders, she is a mum and woman, so naturally there will be romance and of course a wedding.
This is the first Dr Who wedding and it seemed to have gone down well as 1.3 million viewers tuned in, if only to see Dr Who turn at the end!
