Just the mention of Steven Spielberg, Dinosaurs and TV is enough to make people think that Jurassic Park the TV series was in the pipeline.
But no, this is Terra Nova and initially this could have been a British science fiction series as the writer Kelly Marcel created the story with the UK industry in mind, but the US based producer Aaron Kaplan made her an offer she couldn’t refuse.
Terra Nova is based on a family of the future who travel back in time a 150 million years to study dinosaurs as you do.
It is loosely along the similar lines of Primeval, but with the likes of Spielberg and co on board it is hard to imagine that this series would be messed up in the same way.
There will be no pilot, the series will just start at episode one.
