Warner Bros has confirmed that its video game based on the animation, Batman: The Brave and the Bold, will be out three weeks tomorrow on the Nintendo Wii and DS.

It’s a 2D side-scrolling action-adventure set across a diverse collection of environments which range from Gotham City, to London and mysterious faraway planets.

Players can take on the mantle of the caped crusader (or the dark knight, we should say) and take advantage of two player co-op, teaming up with another ally such as Robin or Green Lantern, to battle the forces of evil (who else).

Notorious villains will have to be beaten up, such as Catwoman, and various puzzles solved if you’re to win the day (and no cheating with that utility belt).

Samantha Ryan, Senior Vice President of Development and Production at Warner Bros, commented: “Batman: The Brave and the Bold further illustrates the diverse appeal of the Batman brand and the gameplay is a fun, vibrant extension of the animated series. The game’s co-op play offers kids, families and Batman fans an interactive way of experiencing the cartoon’s iconic characters.”

Expect it to come kapow-ing onto the Wii and DS on the 24th, priced at £29.99.
