The undead are everywhere. Not in real life, of course – not yet anyway – but they’re crawling into every nook and cranny of fiction, film and gaming these days.
Even in the wild west, they had zombies, or they will have soon when Rockstar releases the Undead Nightmare downloadable content pack for its Red Dead Redemption sandbox shooter (also known as Grand Theft Horsey).
John Marston’s world will be invaded by a plague of infectious zombies, shambling across the plains alongside the tumbleweed, giving the player a whole new campaign to tackle which revolves around the search for the cure.
It’s mostly a single player pack, with the additional campaign, some new weapons, zombie animals, mythical creatures and an extra secret location included. But there are some new multiplayer modes set to be bundled up in this DLC as well.
The Undead Nightmare pack (why didn’t they just call it Red Undead Redemption?) should be available around the end of October, Halloween if we were to hazard a guess. It’ll be $9.99 on PSN and 800MS points on the Xbox.
So get ready to buy it, get on your horse, and eat your brains. Or something like that.
