The Sookie Stackhouse Companion is a unique guide to Sookie Stackhouse and her dark fantasy southern-Gothic world, as well as an in-depth look at the award-winning HBO series True Blood.

The book will feature a brand-new Sookie novella and Charlaine’s own map of Bon Temps, never before published, with every place of interest in the town, including Merlotte’s bar and Sookie’s home.

The book also features an introduction by Charlaine about the impact Sookie Stackhouse has had on her writing career, and the influence on the genre at large. A large section on the award-winning HBO series True Blood is also included, alongside detailed summaries of each novel and entries on every important character, event and setting in the series, in Sookie’s voice.

The book provides an overview of Sookie’s world, including information on vampires, shapeshifters and wereanimals, interviews with Charlaine Harris and Alan Ball and a selection of Bon Temps recipes.

Charlaine Harris is a New York Times bestselling author who has been writing for thirty years. Her first novel, Sweet and Deadly was published in 1981 and she wrote many more before creating The Sookie Stackhouse urban fantasy series.

This hugely popular series now numbers eleven titles and have proved to be so popular that Six Feet Under creator, Alan Ball announced he would undertake the production for a new series based on the novels.

True Blood premièred in 2008 and was an instant success, a fourth season is currently out on HBO in the US.

Personally, Harris is married and the mother of three. She lives in a small town in Southern Arkansas and when she is not writing her own books, she reads omnivorously.

The Sookie Stackhouse Companion is available for pre-order on Amazon UK.
