Hello all! I'm currently not paying much attention to new and upcoming books in 2013 as I am working my way through the SF Masterworks Series. I'd like to know what your most anticipated books are of 2013?

Are there any new authors you have picked up in 2013?

Feel free to review books published in 2013 too, and give recommendations to us all!

I know it is already released over the pond but here in the state we are waiting for Robert Redick's latest Chathrand novel Night of the Swarm and I really am looking forward to Michael Sullivan's Crown Tower.

I have not read any new authors so far this year but I did order a Daniel Abraham book and I have not read his works before so I'm hoping I will enjoy his writing.

Oh, books - I thought it was a generic what are you looking forward to in 2013, in which case I was going to say 2014 :)

I'm looking forward to not buying as many books as I did last year and just getting down to reading the damn things. (I had bought around 30 by this time last year and that was cutting down on the year before.)

Heather Myst, thanks for the mention of the Riyria Chronicles. I'll add it to my anticipation list:
The Emperor of Thorns by Mark Lawrence
Tyrant's Law by Daniel Abraham
The Dark Defiles by Richard Morgan
Abbadon's Gate by James S.A. Corey
Blood of Dragons by Robin Hobb
River of Stars by Guy Gavriel Kay
The Republic of Thieves by Scott Lynch

A Memory of Light
The Rithmatist
Seige and Storm
The Pirate Kings
Shadow of Freedom
The Daylight War

I'm looking forward to getting the last book in this current trilogy finished and off to my editor, so I can make a dent in my TBR pile at last!

Specific books being published this year? Sworn in Steel by Douglas Hulick, and (assuming it finally appears) Republic of Thieves by Scott Lynch. I'm too far behind on other series to worry about the next book...

These are the three books I have pre-ordered:

Tolkien's Fall of Arthur

From a library -- not something I would buy --

Klavan's A Killer in the Wind (just out)

I fell in love with Divergent and Insurgent last year, and am really looking forward to the next book coming out in 2013.
