Brandon Sanderson's Mistborn

I've recently started the Mistborn series About three thirds of the way through the third book. Very enjoyable, Vin has to be one of the best female characters I've come across.

Is it just me or does Ruin bring Donaldson's Lord Foul Bane to mind?

Not for me, but then I rather liked Mistborn and thought Thomas Covenant was a waste of reading time. Probably not a fair comparison.
