I think it would be great if they made a TNG/DS9 era Trek movie in which all the main characters are Klingons and the film is about events pertaining to Kronos and the Klingon Empire. IMO the Klingons are the most interesting species created by Star Trek. Both TNG and DS9 made some amazing Klingon-focused episodes.
In another thread, I posted my objections to the awful, awful JJ Abrams Star Trek XI. I'm not able to post links on the forum yet, but you can find it if you click on my name and locate my reply to the thread titled "Marina Sirtis is nuts and a loser".
Unfortunately, there's to be another prequel movie by Abrams. It's my hope that it bombs and loses a tremendous amount of money so that Paramount re-thinks things. A Klingon Trek movie would be a great way to get back on track.
