Looking for title of a short story I read in an anthology years ago.
A soldier was returning by ship from Europe after WW2 and met another soldier who claimed to be immortal after drinking a mixture of wine, eggs and honey in the 16th century and proved it by almost cutting his thumb off; the wound healed almost immediately. Anybody remember this one?
