The absence of that period in the telling of the story has always been one of my major (but loving) complaints.

I doubt if I'll feel the compunction to buy it new, but look forward to reading it.

I've only read the first four but I like the idea of him adding and adding to it. That way it may stay unfinished, a good thing in regards to King as he can't seem to finish a book well, ever.

Well, apart from his 50-odd published books...

I'm the same as biodroid - I've really gotta pick up this series. It's odd that I haven't, since I love fantasy, I love King, and I especially loved The Talisman (I know it's only vaguely related, but as one of his earlier fantasy/horror crossovers I see it as sort of a precursor).

Yep, definitely a masterpiece that sense. He can add to it all he wants.

The Dark Tower book 4.5, can't wait! I'm very happy that he is returning to Roland's world.
