A while ago, when I was a teen, I read a trilogy that I enjoyed and wanted to look up the author again. I remember a limited amount about the plot line and it's frustrating me to know end - can you help?
I remember it was a story about one girl who meets a young male thief (dark hair with dark features) who, I believe, was trained by his father and then a noble young man, possibly a knight in training (red hair). The boys/men were wary of each other but both loved the girl. I remember at one point she was locked in jail with the knight (possibly jailed by elves)...I remember at the end she ended up being pregnant with twins - one that looked like the thief and one that looked like the knight, and marrying the knight.
Does anyone have any idea what trilogy or author this belongs to?
