Just got a copy of the following and will post something when I'm able to:

Batman: Whatever happened to the caped crusader? - Deluxe Edition

Anyone else read this latest offering by Neil yet?

I plan to read it because Gaiman is a quality comics writer in my experiance. Not read his novels yet.

The delay of the second issue made forget reading this.

Plus i enjoy the story type, like Alan Moore did a similar great story for Superman.

I'm planning on getting this one as well. But it's going to be a while before I get to it.

I think it was a pity that many tried to link it with Whatever Happened to the Man of Tomorrow. Totally different books and totally different authors.

Do you have a sample of artwork? The only graphic novel I have ever read was a Judge Dredd 2000AD story and I loved it. Great artwork, good story and super violent, not that I condone violence in reality but in fiction it's fine. :D

The lovely state of Denial
What I thought was brilliant about this book is how he set it in an ambiguous, timeless setting that links to all eras in Batman's history and none of them. Whatever Batman comics do in the future, the story of WHtoCC will still be "real" because it was never "real" to begin with.
