Yes, your thread is in the wrong place. Unfortunately, just at the present there is no right place here at the Chronicles to post a story that's not for critique. There has been some discussion, from time to time, about creating a forum where people can post stories they simply want to be seen, but until (and unless) such a thing ever happens, we can't have pieces that aren't meant to be critiqued filling up the Critiques forum (which they would, as soon as news spread around the 'net that the Chronicles was a welcoming place for that sort of thing).
And so I'm locking this thread. It may also be removed after further discussion in the Staff Room.
(It's tempting to bend the rules in this case because you've been around a while, but we have to enforce them impartially, or face a deluge of "Not For Critiques." And that would be unacceptable.)
