    Over the last two days some threads are getting stuck on "new posts", even when I carefully fold back through all the levels.

    I've had this before, but never on this browser (Safari).

    They can be anywhere on the site, and an adjacent thread will politely behave just as expected.

    Apologies, Chris, I'm really not sure. Initially thought might be that your ISP is caching the pages - but I'm really not sure at the moment.

    Oh, if no-one else has the problem it's no big deal. Definitely browser related; IE works just fine, and doubtless when my Firefox computer comes back from repair it'll work too.
