Bernard Cornwell

I just found this thread and decide I had to join the love for Bernard Cornwell.
At this point I have only read the Sharpe books although I have picked up a few other of his books on special offers and they are on my to read list.
I first read Sharpe's Eagle probably when I was about 11 or 12. I was off sick from school and it was in one of the Readers Digest condensed edition. So began my love affair with Sharpe (you have no idea how difficult it was to persuade my mum to get me the rest of the books out the library as I wasn't allowed to tak ethem out the Adult section at the time!!!!!).
Now 20 years on I have read them time and time again.
I just find something so compelling about Sharpe and Harper especially on how their relationship develops.

I have to admit I always read them in Chronological order as it makes more sense to me.
