I'm writing a novel where some of the priests worship the moon, and since they are characters from Norse mythology (although the moon worshiping thing was my idea), I thought that they should speak Norwegian. So I went on Google, went on an excellent translator, triple checked if the sentences were correct both ways, which they were. However, I'm not convinced, so if anyone, who can help, tell me if the following meanings and sentences actually match up and make sense.

Velsigne denne kveld, Moder Månen! – Bless this night, Mother Moon.
Velsigne din barn, velsigne din land! – Bless your children, bless your land.
Vi anrette du og sette pris på du, vi bue å du og elske du. – We serve you and appreciate you , we bow to you and adore you.
Godkjenne våre ofring , Moder Månen , og kanskje du alltid lyse om aften! - Accept our sacrifice, Mother Moon , and may you always blaze at night!

Regards, Carpe Diem:eek:.

P.S. - Sorry if it sounds a bit stupid :D
P.P.S. - And yes they are supposed to speak modern Norwegian, but if you know Old Norse, then please can you translate it into Old Norse and post it here.

Thank you very much:)
