a few years ago I read a science fiction book. I do not remember the title or author. The premise of the book was the development of stasis field called a "bobble" This formed a silver, indestructable bubble around the occupant of the bobble. Time stood still for those within the bobble as they were in stasis.
Can anyone remember the name of the book?

    I would be grateful

There's an omnibus edition of the two books, titled Across Realtime. Might be worth reading that instead.
