Book on Holocaust

I am looking for a book on the Holocaust that was written by two people. One was a Holocaust survivor and the other a man that had been a teen in the army. They teamed up years later to write the book, each chronicling thier WWII experiences. I believe they even travelled together giving talks on the subject. Maybe it is a YA book... I'm not sure.

Any ideas?
