dragon book

Saw the trailer for eragon and made me think of a series of books I read, set in semi historical world where there are a few dragons mainly used by traveling circus type performers offering dragon rides. young lad turns up learns how to fly dragons and ends up commanding an army of dragon riders against a foe of black dragons.

any ideas just canot think of the titles at all, something like dragon tamer dragon kignt and dragon commader or something arg

My son claims to have read an Aragon book & says the movie is based on it!I dunno if that helps but good luck.That movie didn't look 1/2 bad either!Happy New Year!!!!
