You've read the tales; now see who you are in the mythos.

    Cthulhu Mythos Quiz

It seems that I am NYARLATHOTEP, the mind, spirit, physical representation of and messenger to, the Outer Gods. Often manifesting in human form, Nyarlathotep is a great manipulator of humans, bending them to the will of his masters. In true form Nyarlathotep is a 55' tall monstrosity with a giant trunk-like proboscis. But he prefers the guise of a human, often appearing as a rich, well educated man, bending people to his will and towards their ultimate downfall.

You are MIGHTY CTHULHU, the Great Old One, one of the creatures who arrived on Earth before even the dinosaurs and now lies imprisoned in his ancient temple of R'yleh deep under the Pacific Ocean. A complex chain of international cults funded through corporate dealings and otherworldly influences work towards raising the giant Cthulhu from his watery prison, as Cthulhu himself waits upon the day he can walk the Earth once more.

    Woot!
I think I've been talking to Pyanfaruk too long...some of his Cthulhu-ness has rubbed off onto me!

You are a DIMENSIONAL SHAMBLER, a clawed, faceless dweller in the spaces outside of time and space. Shamblers materialise swiftly on the physical plain to seize their prey, before vanishing back into the nowhere from whence they came.

    cool :D

You are a FLYING POLYP, a 20' tall part-physical entity that arrived from outer space to prey upon Earth's early life forms. They live in vast windowless cities of basalt beneath the surface of the planet.

You are among the GREAT RACE OF YITH, a fantastically ancient race of super intelligent beings whose minds travel through time and space and conquer whole species by occupying their bodies. Currently existing in the bodies of long-extinct strange conical beings in Earth's tropical regions, the Great Race's scientific conquest of the universe continues.

Well, at least I dress well. Look, I'm going to drop my hankie to test your chivalry.

According to the site, only 7% of the people who have done this are Cthulhu, yet over 60% of Chronic members are the Great Old One.
    What does this mean? Discuss.

Either that or the dreams are doing their work and gathering disciples to the great cause. It would then be quite natural for like minds to draw together to lure others. ;)

But you get to do the whole mind control, puppet master thing, which is quite awesome really. Imagine what you might do with Mr Bush or Mr Blair for that matter. ;)

Hah! I'd make Bush drive a busload of senior citizens to the doctor and pay for their medications!

Besides, Lovecraft called the Great Race of Yith the greatest race of all, because they had learned all that ever would or could be known on Earth, as well as many other planets and star systems, because they conquered the secret of Time ... so you could definitely do worse!

Thanks for posting this Nesa! This was great fun, but somehow I was expecting to be saddled with this profile:

You are HERBERT WEST, scientific mastermind, social maladroit and med school drop-out. Unconventional, brilliant and a born maverick, you and your methodology are misunderstood by the Board of Regents . . . . and every other established scientific institution in the civilized world as well as members of the death services community.

Intense, reckless and a bit on the obsessive/compulsive side, nevertheless you exert a certain dashing charisma over others who share your singular gifts and sensibilities: namely, insane asylum escapees, megalomaniacs, professional grave robbers and freshman art school students. Tall, dark and demented you prefer your friends like you prefer your coffee: cold, dark and with a bitter edge.

Am rather fond of Mr. West myself. A remarkably attractive and intriguing gentleman. I am glad however to see another messenger. The great crusade could always do with more messengers.

    You're welcome Curt.

As always, I'm delighted at how much we share in common.

I don't know about you, but like many politicians I'm just a bit weary of having to tuck away my primary tentacle and third leg when Congress is in session, my presence is needed at a GOP convention rally or to give interviews on the Fox News network . . . . We may be currently out but never down. We shall await our time with infinite patience when the stars are in the correct alignment, to once again serve our Supreme Master, the blind, idiot god Azathoth! BWAHAHAHAHAHA!!!
