Misbegotten

After turning a Wraith hive ship crew into humans, the Atlantis team must decide on their fate. Meanwhile, Dr. Weir finds herself under the scrutiny of Richard Woolsey and the I.O.A.

Re: 3.2 : Misbegotten

As usual, they have now watered down a powerful new enemy to what is a minor inconvenience.

And they spend far too much time on Atlantis debating these philosophical arguments about whether to kill the enemy or not.

Re: 3.2 : Misbegotten

Not a bad episode, but they seem to be following the pattern of 'Get ship, fly ship, lose ship'.
Also: (spoiler)
Surely Micheal would have been more resistant to the treatment having gone through it and turned once before. Why would Beckett think that he and the team could control hundreds of humanised Wraith on a remote planet when they couldn't even control Michael on Atlantis? Not only do they turn against the Atlantis team, but they have sensitive information, and they are pretty p'ed off with what they did to them.

I can't help having a lot of sympathy for Michael after the last few episodes, poor bloke has been kidnapped, experimented on and mutated, ostracised, betrayed twice, experimented on again and then suffered an attempted nuking

And nobody seems concerned about this apart from Beckett. Has it really not occurred to anyone than genetically altering a sentient race against their will is perhaps not acceptable practice? Not defending the Wraith but that doesn't mean they should have carte blanche to do whatever they like to them.
