Subject: The Farscape Podcast Project is looking for a few good
'Scapers!
(Also a better name.)
Our small group (Kurt_eh, Nicola/Firecracker, Brent Barrett and Kevin
Bachelder) is moving forward - from the discussion phase to the
pre-production phase - and we hope to launch our first show within the next few
weeks. You guessed it... we need your help!
We have looked at some other fan created podcasts like "The Signal"

http://www.babylonpodcast.com and Firefly Talk
http://www.fireflytalk.com for ideas and have decided that our goal is
to create content that both the long time fan will enjoy and at the
same time bring new eyeballs to the show. Exactly what types of segments
we will have is still up for discussion so if you have ideas that you
want to share, and you have the desire and the time to help us, we would
love to hear from you.
Experience is not required (good thing or I would be out on my ear); we
are just looking for commitment and enthusiasm. If you think you
might be interested in joining our merry crew please let us know by sending
an email to:
farscapepodcast@yahoogroups.com from the e-mail address that you want
to use for the list. Please introduce yourself and explain why you want
to join.
We are planning to start small with just a few volunteers for now, but
once we're off and rolling we may add some additional talent to the
team. So if we get too many requests, we might have to ask some folks to
hold off until our next request for help (apparently podcasts can never
have enough writers). If this happens to you, please don't take it
personally, as we truly appreciate each and every offer of assistance.
These are the areas we think we need help with (not psychiatric help
... yet.)
1. Writing of Segments (I KNOW there are fantastic writers out
there... I have read your work.) Be part of the newest internet revolution,
the Content Revolution!
2. Have you got a sexy voice? Even if you don't think you do - let
us be the judge of that! We are looking for people to do voice work to
record articles and/or read fan e-mail.
3. Audio Editing Work (Brent has offered his talents in this area, but
I am sure he would be happy with some help.)
We all know that Farscape is a continuing, evolving tale of love,
honour, friendship, hope, betrayal, death and life. It is a comic, tragic,
funny, sexy and dramatic show - often in the same five minutes - and it
is well written science fiction. This is a show that deserves to be
shared with others. Won't you help?
