(Sorry to use the forum for this message but we urgently need to get
this message circulated)

URGENT SECURITY ANNOUNCEMENT TO ALL BIDDERS IN OUR RECENT STARGATE
AUCTION

Please be advised that we have today received notification that
someone is sending out 'SECOND CHANCE PURCHASE OFFERS' in order to
solicit orders for items that have already been sold in the recent
auction.

Even though the email solicitation looks authentic in its structure,
please note that ANY SUCH SOLICITATION IS FALSE AND DID NOT COME
FROM EBAY OR STARGATEPROPS! This is merely an attempt for you to
pay for something that is not available.

If you receive any such "Second Chance offers", please DO NOT
RESPOND but send us a copy of the email you received.

This matter is currently being investigated by eBay personnel.

For your information, here is a 'false' email address relating to
this solicitation:

ebay.scgaynor@g...

To explain how this 'scam' is working:

The actual email soliciation has a form which the 'buyer' would
enter his/her acceptance of the offer he is making. This form is
then sent to the fake vendor's 'new' eBay account. He will then ask
for payment and then shut down the eBay account and run with the
money.

Please do NOT reply to these emails as they have nothing to do with
eBay, Legends Memorabilia or Stargateprops.

Should you wish further clarification about this matter, or receive
anything suspicious relating to the sale of a 'Stargate Prop',
please do not hesitate to contact us by email or telephone.

With kind regards,

Paul Brown
President
Legends Memorabilia Inc.

FURTHER "EBAY SCAM" UPDATE ANNOUNCEMENT TO ALL BIDDERS IN OUR RECENT
STARGATE AUCTION

Yesterday I posted a message concerning a 'scam' that was being
perpetrated by someone trying to sell our Stargate auction items via
a fake "Second Chance Offer".

Today we have received information that they are continuing to try
this scam but this time they are sending the 'offer' out under the
name of "Angie Brown" (Our Customer Servcie Manager). Obviously
they are doing this to try to 'authenticate' the offer.

PLEASE BE AWARE THAT OUR COMPANY IS NOT SENDING OUT ANY SECOND
CHANCE OFFERS AT ALL!

(If, at any time in the future you do receive Second Chance Offers
from any of our auctions, we urge you to telephone our office (604-
534-1410) to verify whether in fact we actually sent it out.)

Finally, the domain name of the perpetrator can be identified as
gawab.com. Any emails from this domain should be considered
suspicious.

Sorry to have to take these precautions but I hope you understand
the necessity of this.

The good news is that we are closing in on the perpetrator and when
he/she is located, we shall be taking the appropriate action with
the authorities as this is a clear case of fraud.

Thanks again for your attention to this matter and if you receive
any such solicitations, PLEASE DO NOT RESPOND AND PLEASE DO NOT
DELETE THE MESSAGE as we would like to pass it along to the
authorities.

With kind regards,

Paul Brown
President
Legends Memorabilia Inc.

Wow !!

O recently got a second chance offer for soemthing on ebay. I am glad I didn't bid on it.
I unfortunately have deleted the email out of my box so I can't recall exactly who it was from.

Just be careful when you bid. I see so many fake autographs out there. I have all there autographs (except Teryl) and I stood there and watched them sign. Some of the stuff I have seen isn't even close to what I have.

That sucks that people have to try to rip you off.
