Ok i just finished the newest book for The NJO serires, Force Heritic 1: Remanent, tis the first of a 3 book set by the same 2 authors

i liked this one, i thought it was a good follow up from Destineys way. it seems that the Grand alliance(formely the New republic) has finally reached there turning point.

it was interesting to hear about some of the outer system that are being curoppted by the Vong. IT seems that things have gotten worse then we thought they we were told they were.

also im wondering what is gonna happen with Tahiri, i think that in the next couple books she may turn back into a Vong:(

I was also dissapointed that the issue with Shimmara wasnt talked about at all in this book, i wanna know whats going on

i also want to hear about how the Empire is going to attack the vong, and what is happening on Bakura, and how will the Chiss respond to Lukes visit, and were is Zonama Sekot:D:D

thats it for now:D:rolly2:

Yeah, I liked hearing about the new "surprises" like the Galactic fringe being affected by the Vong. Not only was the Imperial Remnant being attacked, but the Fia had made an unexpected alliance and the Yevethans exterminated (NOT a surprise), but the anonymous notes that "feel" safe to heed... all great details thrown into the mix.

I'm glad they're following up on the Zonama Sekot/Rogue Planet angle, too. Can't wait to see how Luke and Jacen handle the Chiss... if they have to... especially with an Imperial escort.

It struck me, about two-thirds of the way into this novel, that I really miss Anakin. Not just because Tahiri seems to be losing herself, either. I just think he really "got it" by the end and would have been a huge boon to the Galactic Alliance by now.

And how obvious did Pallaeon's message to Jacen sound? "One day you will" be a leader. Geez. Wonder what he'll be leader of? The Jedi, maybe? I really hope it's not that obvious.

Im actually really glad that some one is finally going to talk to the Chiss, ever since i read the Thrawn Trilogy i have wanted to know more about them:rolly2: cant wait to see how that works.

I am also scarred about what may be happening to the Ssi Rukk, they were never really talked about much after Truce at Bakura. I hope they havent been killed off i kinda liked them:p :rolly2: Seems to me like Han and Leia might have to help save them

As for Anikin mabye thats half the reason he was killed off, because he was getting it, and Lucas didnt want the Republic getting to much of an advantage, besides i think the whole idea or Tarhi going back to being a Vong is a good plot that will make for interesting reading if used right:p

Even without Pelleaons little prediction about Jacen, u have to admit he seemed like leader material several books ago, hes been taking charge in many situations and leading well, the least of which was the battle at the end of Destinys Way. :rolly2:

What do u think will happen when (cause we know he will) Luke finds Zoma Sekot, u think it will run from him a couple times first? i dont wonder if mabye he will grow to be freinds with the planet and find out some big mystery about the vong that could eiter kill them off or that he could destroy, u know somthing like that to create a big conflict:p :rolly2:

I wonder if the planet might "recognize" him in a way, since he IS Anakin Skywalker's son. The Noghri "recognized" Leia because of that kind of connection. And this planet really "liked" Anakin... or maybe it'll like Jacen better, with his whole "I love all life" philosophy.

I'm not really scared for the Ssi Ruuk, but I'm not expecting good things for Han and Leia's group. This last book was a little light on the nail-biting danger, so I'm expecting that to pick up in this trilogy (the three by these two authors), especially in the second book.

Yeah, I've seen Jacen really blossom in this series, most especially after Anakin passed on the mantle of leadership to him on the worldship. I think that ticked off Jaina because she knew, deep down, that Anakin saw something in Jacen that even she couldn't see. Now that element is becoming more apparent to everyone around them.

I'm not sure if Luke will find any big secret that will destroy the Vong, but maybe he'll discover something that can make them back off. Maybe the "message" of the Jeedai will aid in some kind of new religion emerging among the Vong that will make them value life more than pain and Zonama Sekot, a planet teeming with life energy and the Force, will provide for them a "mecca" of sorts. A place where their ideals merge with those of the Jedi (and, by extension, the Galactic Allience).

It is becoming apparent that this war cannot be "won" by either side, but peaceful coexistance is impossible until the Vong have some kind of cultural epiphany.

First off what do u mean by the planet recognizing him? are u saying he has seen it before, or did i miss something in the book?

seconed i really wonder if the total cultural change the Vong would need for coexistence is not possible any time soon seems that we would have to wait a long time until that would ever happen, althought it seems that the books are setting us up for it to happen some times soon:rolly2:

Yeah, I agree that something is going to happen with the Vong, or they wouldn't be going on and on about Nom Anor's adventures in the underworld of Coruscant and the Jedi "message."

I didn't mean that Zonama Sekot would recognize Luke, but maybe it would recognize that Luke was the son of Anakin, who has been there before. I don't know if you read any of the prequel novels, but when Anakin was Obi-Wan's apprentice, they had a mission to Zonama Sekot to find a "lost" Jedi. Traitor pretty much covered that.

I'm just saying that, since the Noghri "recognized" Leia as "Lady Vader" as Darth Vader's daughter, the planet Zonama Sekot might recognize Luke as Anakin's son.

unfortunatley i havent read the prequel books i have actually tried to stay away from them so i dont know about Anikins mission, and it has been so long since i read tratior:p will have to find it again soon:p :rolly2:

Well i just read the newest book, the seconed one known as Refugee, also by Sean Williams and Shane Dix, in this one things start to get more intresting, its cool we have Nom Anor starting to really push ahead his plot to overthrow Supreme Overlord Shimarra, Hes really starting to get a power base going.

Also we have Han and Leia traveling to Bakura a planet that has been visited in preivous books before, and just like the last time we get to see the Ssi-Rukk trying to take it over, but this time they use deceit and trickery to try and take over the planet. They claim there slaves the P'w'eck have revolted and try use the this deception as reason to get there troops in to Bakura.

Also we follow Luke Skywalker and his group into Chiss space where they are allowed to search through the Chiss's library for the fabled Zonama Sekot, while searching they are attacked, meet up The legendary Baron Soontir Fel, Who now lives with his family among the Chiss. As the book comes to an end we finally get to read about Jacen figuring out how to find Zonama Sekot and how they find what they think is it:p

a great book;):rolly2:
