How cool is this! Velvet Chain (Buffy EP) are in concert with The Tubes on Dec 14th at The La Mirada Theatre for the Performing Arts (between LA and OC). If you haven't seen them don't miss this chance - they are awesome! The box office number is 562-944-9801 or there is an online ticket link on the Velvet Chain site (as well as free MP3 downloads!) www.velvetchain.com

You know folks, this is one of those situations when someone joins the board and posts an advertisement. In fact, it sometimes occurs that they join just to post the ad.

We have rules against spam and rules against ripoffs, but we are not professional investigators and unless we get some warnings signs the important things are rather the post is on-topic and reasonable.

So, as always, proceed at your own risk and we hope you find an enjoyable experience if you decide to take them up on their offer.

Besides, just my personal opinion, but I like their smilies, they reflect some real imagination.

Fan or Ad?

Well actually I found Velvet Chain before I discovered Buffy - their music introduced me to the show. I am a Buffy "newbie" and have read many Buffy boards (finding out about the shows past story lines, the games that fans play, etc) for quite a while, but never joined to post before because I didn't really have anything to contribute. Am going to the VChain concert and though other Buffy fans that like the Buffy music might like to know about it. And about the free music downloads. Thanks for making me feel like an idiot.

So there it is...
And here's another cool smilie...

[Slayme: Thanks for making me feel like an idiot.]

My apologies, Slayme, that certainly wasn't my intention. We've had a spate recently of people joining just to promote some offer or event, some of questionable value. I guess I allowed my reaction to those to taint my response to your notice.

As I tried to say, your message is entirely appropriate and I hope people enjoy the event. I'd also encourage you to join in on our other conversations about Buffy or perhaps, any other SciFi shows and movies that you enjoy, in our many other forums.
