2.3 Duplicity
lex has a visit from his mad dr. hamilton researching the metor rocks, the dr. has had prolong exposure and has developed a twitching condition (Hamilton seemed to be suffering from the same kryptonite-induced disease that affected Earl Jenkins in the episode "Jitters.")
after lex tells him he will no longer fund his research he causes a car accident in which pete witness the dr leaves the scene of the acident, pete gives aid to the injured driver and finds clark's space ship in the corn field.
pete goes and gets clark to show him the ship and haul it off to petes garage. clark tells his parents about it and wants to tell pete the truth about himself. parents convince him not to.
dad and clark go back to petes house and try to get the ship back but it is missing, pete sees clark and dad driving off and discover the ship gone, it was taken by the mad dr who went to see the injured driver in the hospital and kills him after he told him who else knew of the ship.
pete goes to clark and blasts him for taking the ship, clark breaks down and tells pete the truth, pete freaks and tells clark their friendship was based on a lie.
the dr kidnappes pete trying to force him to tell him about the ship and the disc that activate the ship. pete almost tells him but decided to play the hero and not turn in clark. clark comes to the rescue, but the drs place is full of metor stuff and makes clark sick, pete saves the day and clark.
pete understands now why clark did not tell him, he could get hurt. friends again.
in the mean time the dr was doused with a lethal dose of radiation he made from the metor rocks and pete and clark thinks he is dead, i think not!!! he is going to be the worst villian yet!!
