also I think they made the translation of what's written on the ring, or I keep miss hearing. The line in the book is: "One Ring to bring them all & in the darkness bind them" I seem to keep hearing int he movie "& in the darkness smite them" is it just me & my bad memmory?

In the book it seems that Frodo knows the birthday plan of Bilbo's...the disapearing part I believe & Gandalf makes some bit flash of light or something so all the Hobbits think the disappearance is jsut one of Gandolf's tricks
