Utterly goofy, although some viewers may be interested in the dominatrix-like title character.

Very low budget, sci-fi horror, pre-dating and often compared with Predator. I plan to finish it this evening.

And some amusing "walked in off the street" cameos like Ralph Meeker and Neville Brand as bar flies. "Get him a beer Aggy!"
Staring Jack Palance , Ive not seen this one but , in the show At The movies Gene Sikel and Roger Ebert were not impressed by this one. Chief complaint was you don't see the Alien until nearly very end and that was only time that the film was interesting, according to them . One them quipped that the film should have been called It Came too Late.
Well this is the thing--I think in those days people took actors for granted--and so they didn't think anything about it as a benefit to a movie--and they were more demanding of Fx thrills--and this came out after Star Wars and ALIEN. If you judge it by that--then it is a cheap alien monster movie.Staring Jack Palance , Ive not seen this one but , in the show At The movies Gene Sikel and Roger Ebert were not impressed by this one. But, if you look beyond the desire for FX innovation (which it does have--the frisbee aliens are unique), and just accept it as a monster movie set in a forest...I don't think one can fault it.
I would argue it has more characterization than ALIEN. The young people act realistically, with naturalistic humor.
One of the best moments is when Taylor and Sandy are all set to trap the alien and then we see Sarge behind them.
For a story set around a water utility shed--it is very well-made.
The Flesh Eaters is another one like that. Set on a beach but very cleverly made.
Anybody seen The Blood Rose from 1970? I wanted to watch it on YouTube, but I got hit with a notice to verify my age.
