And now, add Mission Mars, starring Darren McGavin and Nick Adams. It was Adams' last achievement as he died 5 months before it was released.

This one was a stinker. It started ok, then devolved into a 50's style BEM flick. The music and sound effects were just awful.

Monster From the Ocean Floor 1954 a very unimpressive black and white hour film from Rodger Corman , You don't get to actual see the monster until the very end of the film , It one eyed creature looks a bit like an actor own a very bad monster costume .

Has anyone seen A Boy and His Dog 1975 ? It based on a story by Harlan Ellison and This is actor Don Johnson's film debut . It's post apocalyptic film Johnson's character is not exactly the best a the brightest. That goes to his Dog Blood who has superior intelligence and, is telepathic . Blood uses his telepathy ability to not only talk to him and give him him advice but , also to help him find things to enable him to survive . This film hsas become something of a cult classic . Its actually a very interesting film .

The novella is incredible. It could probably be filmed on a phone today and be quite successful.

Tonight, I watched Burn, Witch, Burn - original UK title Night of the Eagle. Nicely done, I thought. It was the 2nd of 3 movies based on Fritz Leiber's first novel Conjure Wife.

Now I have to read it. Not sure I can get it done by Halloween night.

The 1983 film Strange Invaders was a wonderful homage to 50's B Movies.

One that I don't think has been mentioned that I'd recommend is Captain Kronos: Vampire Hunter. It's a British film from the 70s and an interesting take on the vampire story in a couple of ways. One is that it's a mystery...you don't know who the vampire is until the last two minutes of the movie! And it's probably not who you think it is! As B movies go, this is a B+.

Another which is pretty good that I don't think has been mentioned is The Giant Behemoth. It is very much a British version of The Beast from 20,000 Fathoms, but has an interesting ecological message to it. And a few scenes are genuinely horrifying (I think they used real pictures of people burned in bomb raids in one scene). Flawed, but good enough, especially the first half. I would give it a C+ or a B-.
