I never heard anything about why he was killed off or left. It was a sad shame!!!!!!

I know that having a main charachter and killing him off was something that Joss had wanted to do in the beginning of Buufy, but he couldn't manage to do it (other than Xanders mate in the first episode) so perhaps he saw this as his chance to do just that... it show that in this show no-one is safe, even the main chars can die...

I've not heard whether this is actually the case or not though...

Incidentally it took me a long time to realise that Doyle was the guy from Roseanne, and I used to love that as a kid...I spotted Sarah Chalke (also from Roseanne) straight away when she turned up in Scrubs though

How could you even jest such a thing Mark? Vampyre? No consideration for wikki? gee and so Mr hot shotsies decide they are kings of the universe and decide it was okay for Doyale to die.... what is up with that? That's like.... like....
