The following is a short item from TrekToday:

"Leonard Nimoy (Spock) will be appearing as Professor Emmett Fowler on an upcoming episode of Becker, which also counts another Trek actor among its stars--DS9's Terry Farrell (Jadzia Dax)."

This thread seems as good as any...

Wikipedia says he was a family friend. "Hey, Uncle Lenny, could you help me with my band's first video?" "Of course, sweetie."

I would have loved to spend an hour with the guy. Total legend just as himself, never mind as spock

Been to a Star Trek convention, had my picture taken with Kirk and had an autograph from Chekov; so glad I've met them. Also went to a number of talks, with the best being Sulu and - to my surprise as I never really rated him in the tv shows - Wesley Crusher. I would have loved to meet or even hear/see Spock in the flesh, same with Bones. The ST conventions are really great, but you can definitely see the emphasis (understandably) moving towards the later shows.
