Entertainment Sleuth Reports:

Lord of the Rings Wraps Filming.

The long-awaited film adaptation of J.R.R Tolkien's Lord of the Rings trilogy recently finished filming in New Zealand after 15 straight months of production. The first of the trilogy, based on The Fellowship of the Rings will be released to theatres in time for Christmas 2001. The other two tales will follow suit in 2002 and 2003. The stellar cast of actors include Elijah Wood, Sean Astin, Liv Tyler and Cate Blanchett.

Not yet, but I keep reading that primary editing is almost finished - a big thing in this movie.

The release date is after September because every film before that is given on the 'Dark Horizons' website.

It has a URL at the 'movie database', the sequel does too, and is scheduled for a 2003 release date.
