Mulder and Scully are called to a town in the middle of a tornade/hurricane on the pretense that a man has disappeared. We then see the chaps wife and son being hauled into storm drains by something which looks like a squid/octopus.

Trying to get back to the airport they run into the local sheriff who is helping/locating people trapped in a hotel. Some of the residents do not want to leave but are eventually helped to safety. Unfortunately the sheriff is eaten/swallowed by the sea creature who is found to have been backwashed into town by the sea. Was drawn in by the salt water. Pretty good eppy. 7/10
