Beyond illustrations

Through another forum, I found out about a Fantasy series called Crowthistle
written by Cecilia Dart-Thornton. The second book in the series (Well of Tears) apparently comes with a CDrom that allows you to visit the setting of the book in full 3D. This is not a game, but a way to enhance the reading experience. Seems like an interesting concept.

Got the CD and the book. It's quite fun looking through the CD and being able to spot specific locations and seeing how an artist's impression matches up with your own imaginings. Cecelia is fairly heavily involved in using multimedia as a medium in which to both further explore diferent ways to communicate as an author and expand her readership.
