Anybody else notice how similar the plot for season 3 is to Gene Roddenberry's Andromeda?

I've enjoyed the first 3 episodes. They did leave me wanting to slap the boy.

I just didn't see the post. I watched it last week and enjoyed it. I first watched a "Making Of" video with Charlize Theron. She talked about the fight scenes, the practice and training she went through because she want to do the character justice. That convinced me I wanted to see it.

In the announcement Anson Mount says, "... we're going to get to work an a classic Star Trek show that deals with optimism and the future." That sounds like what I wanted to hear. Pike was the most Trek like thing on STD. I be optimistic unless they screw the pooch.

Me too! At least I prefer the first season to the first book. I haven't finished season 2 yet.
