Your fav line in the star wars saga

The best line is in the original Star Wars. When Obi Wan is sneaking about looking for the power source in the Death Star he has to wait for 2 storm troopers to disperse, at which point one of the Storm troopers says to the other, "I've just bought a new power drill" or it might have been "How...

    Brazil (1985)

I myself am not a big fan of this film and was reminded of this again the other night when it was shown on TV. Decided to watch it again with more of an open mind, and was let down. Personally, I think it suffers greatly from the directors ego, the performances aren't much and if anybody would...

Trivia / "Did you know" facts...

I know there are definitely loads more....can't think of them for the life of me. Although I do know that in the original film version of Moby Dick, vapour trails from a jet aeroplane are visible in the sky when Starbuck contemplates killing Ahab.

Trivia / "Did you know" facts...

To expand a little on Carrie's crossover facts.....R2D2 and C3PO are hidden in hieroglyphics in the Well of Souls In Raiders of the Lost Arc. Indy threatens to blow up the Arc with a bazooka .....this is in the same Tunisian canyon where we first meet Obi Wan (Star Wars IV). And the Temple of...

"I find your lack of faith disturbing" has been picked by a few people already, I have to confess, it was always one of my favourite lines.....that was until I watched "Firecreek" starring Jimmy Stewart on TV a few weeks ago......one of the villains says this exact line....Georgey Boy ripped it...

    Star Wars Facts

Just thought as some of us seem to know so much about the whole Star Wars saga, that we could do with a thread where we can show off our useless Jedi trivia, things people DON'T know about this wonderful story. I'll start with this one....Mark Hamill's scarred chin came from a car accident in...

Looking for Science Fiction Recommendations/ Suggestions

Re: Recommendations I think the latest version of War of the Worlds starring Tom Cruise is an absolute belter.....even though I normally don't think anyone should mess with Wells's original ideas.....this is suspenseful and keeps going at a nice pace. Definitely worth a look.

Re: The Repo Man I also think it stands the test of time....it's over twenty years old now.....and although it's obviously a "classic" to a select few.......I feel it's quite a contempary concept.....cool characters....aliens gradually decomposing.....hot-cars being reposessed....and one hell...
