I read 2016 for release, I think they're putting out more info in Spring. Hopefully by then developers will have figured out how to push the new consoles to their limits and concentrate on them, as opposed to developing games for current- AND previous-gen machines.

I think the only circumstance I can't bare to write in is the "vacuum". Used to do the majority of my writing on the bus to/from work (just less than an hour each way), during work, or at the pub with friends. Pretty ignorant, I know, but when an idea comes to me there's no way I'd let it slip...

I think the speed issue is more likely with the USB connection than with the drive itself. I can play a 1.5GB (approx) movie straight from a 4GB USB stick through my Xbox or PC without any problems but I haven't used a PC for gaming in around 5 years. So now that you mention it I'm not sure if...

IIRC external drives are pretty expensive. I use a USB caddy for SCSI HDDs and it worked out considerably cheaper than buying an external unit. The caddy was around £25 and I had a few old SCSI hard drives lying around. I can't imagine that a SATA caddy & hard drive would cost a lot more than it...

Overall level 53 or something on the Mass Effect 3 multiplayer demo. When I like something I just can't put it down :\
