Has Robert Jordan Ever Actually Met A Woman?*

I wasn't ignoring it at all, I just didn't see it as relevant, if he tries to say that he hasn't witnessed the women around him doing these things then he is blinded by their manipulating ways.

Has Robert Jordan Ever Actually Met A Woman?*

Nope, not whining at all, sounds like you're just trying to find a way to troll me. Didn't work, moving on.

Has Robert Jordan Ever Actually Met A Woman?*

What does being American have to do with anything and being from Texas doesn't make you more American in any way. Yes, he absolutely can write his characters any way he sees fit. His characterization is right on spot.

Has Robert Jordan Ever Actually Met A Woman?*

Yeah, I know, we tend not to hide our feelings and let our thoughts fly even if it upsets women.

Has Robert Jordan Ever Actually Met A Woman?*

Sensible or arrogant? Do you honestly know women who don't behave this way at times?

Has Robert Jordan Ever Actually Met A Woman?*

I get that but I figured that if I said that maybe people will take the time to actually think about human behavior, our pros and cons, and not immediately start the hate thread. Ha, like I said I sometimes put my foot in my mouth.

Has Robert Jordan Ever Actually Met A Woman?*

I am a kind-hearted man, easy going, and not afraid to speak truth. I can also be mean, short-sighted, and sometimes put my foot in my mouth. Can you also name your short-comings or do you actually think that you are a perfect creature?

Has Robert Jordan Ever Actually Met A Woman?*

You may certainly say what you will but all the males know what I say is true. I'm not saying that it is all of the time but every woman does show this side to them once in awhile, just like every male, including myself shows undesirable qualities at different times. All Jordan did was make...

Has Robert Jordan Ever Actually Met A Woman?*

Maybe you are all just over-analysing this whole thing, I mean it is fiction and in the world he created, women happen to pretty much rule. In some ways it seems to me that he has actually reversed the roles of men and women in this society. Now, I'm not trying to start an argument here but...

When fantasy is just too dark

There is no such thing as too dark. That is real, bad guys win a lot in the real world because they don't care about the consequences of their actions. Anyone who thinks otherwise is naive.

    Stephen King's Best Novel?

It is actually nothing like Christine at all, it has an atmosphere to it somewhat like Lovecraft's "The Colour out of Space", that same other worldly quality. The main reason I like it so much is that it reminds me of a few times when I've sat and listened to someone tell me about some weird or...

On the endings of Stephen King's novels

I really think you should do a re-read, FAB8 is actually a great book, one of his creepiest in fact, IMO. I didn't get it at first either, but after I re-read it, I was blown away.

    I dont get it.

I have to thoroughly disagree with this thought personally but to each his own. I definitely wouldn't put it as a first read of King though, bad choice. If you really want to try King's horror, then It, Pet Semetary, The Shining would be great or try some of his short stories.

    I dont get it.

Interesting considering that horror is really an offshoot of fantasy

    The best horror prose writer

Sorry that I sounded so chippy j.d., I had some b.s. going on here at home and I let it seep into this forum. I still do not agree with anything you said but I shouldn't have been snippy with you, I did ask you to explain yourself after all, lol. My apologies mate.

    The best horror prose writer

Look man, no offense, but I just do not agree with you on any of your exhausting explanations, seriously, I didn't realize our answers should be in the form of essays.

    The best horror prose writer

Pedestrianism? I had to look that one up just to make sure I wasn't missing anything. If I'm taking your meaning correctly, you are saying that King is ordinary and undistinguished. If that is the case then I say you are wrong, at least in my eyes, the last thing King is, is ordinary. Now...

    The best horror prose writer

Just my opinion, I happen to feel like he is the greatest horror prose writer. I'm a big Lovecraft fan too and he is right there at the top next to King. King's work just has a lilt to it that no other writer could duplicate, for me anyway.
