Last year was my first NaNoWriMo and I only found out about it on 3rd November. Still managed to finish by the 24th at around 52k (I think) and while the first draft was dross (as to be expected) it's something I'm very happy with and will easily be able to work into something more professional...

I'm done! Well, It's not finished but I hit 50,000 words this afternoon. Still can't believe I managed it. The end of the story is not far away either. Should get it finished tomorrow or the day after. Phew!

I just passed 40,000 today! I'm on to my last two or three chapters now, I know what's going to happen, how it will end. I might actually do this! Never would have thought it was possible! Although, it's not a great story, I've just churned it out, needs a lot of work still!

I'm going to let this conversation carry on for however long it does, I don't care any more. All I'm fixating on is the "when" I got in this quote as opposed to an "if" :D
