Yeah, I'll definetely try to differentiate it from WH40K, but its still mildly futuristic battles in an imaginary world, so similarities will probably be unavoidable. I need to figure out waht cruel political twist sent them out there, and it can't be like in gaunt's ghosts either... gah...

Nice! I really liked this, kept me reding for the whole thing. I like the casual way you introduce the setting, it doesn't feel forced at all, you just naturally find out stuff at a nice pace. How long is this going to be though, cause if it's only a short story it's ok but for a longer piece...

so thats what the shield was all about! I havent read the prequel novellas, and I did think a bit too much time was spent talking about that shield.

Currently finishing up A Feast for Crows by George RR Martin. After that I gotta wait like everyone else for th next part. I also bought Wizard's First Rule by Terry Goodkind, heard good things about it so it sohuld be the next undertaking. Anyone read it? :eek:
