    Sci-fi drama - Character bios/summary

Well, tbh I thought I would be modded for posting work in a discussion forum. Really I just want opinions on the whole idea. Like, I've thought all this out by myself and haven't talked to anyone about it so it would be nice with any kind of feedback, whether it be on my writing, the...

    Sci-fi drama - Character bios/summary

Tell me what you guys think, this is going to be a sci-fi graphic novel in 15 parts, three parts for each character. It takes place in a future country called the Commonwealth, where money and all private posessions have been outlawed in favor of the fair distribution of resources by the central...

    November's adventures in Reading needed...

I'm being trendy and going with the flow in fantasy... Just finished The Blade Itself by Joe Abercrombie... I enjoyed it although I did not completely understand the hype. I have the second book waiting to be read also. And I just started The Name of the Wind by Patrick Rothfuss, another hyped...

    Maps

Let's see some more maps! I always enjoyed making them. Here's one I made about a year ago for a story I planned. Whole lotta countries. I'm not really that happy with the lettering, and it's a bit too colourful. Watercolours, pencils and photoshop. Here's a more recent one, this one's...

    Important vote... ASoIaF's sexiest woman!

The way Shae is described just made me envsion her as extremely hot and yet very easy to relate to. I know this is probably because she is written from Tyrion's POV but no other female character did it for me like she did. Melisandre seem very beautiful but after she gave birth to that shadow...

    The Darcazians

Yeah, I'll definetely try to differentiate it from WH40K, but its still mildly futuristic battles in an imaginary world, so similarities will probably be unavoidable. I need to figure out waht cruel political twist sent them out there, and it can't be like in gaunt's ghosts either... gah...

    The Darcazians

    The Darcazians

New idea for a fanatsy world/modern era/sci-fi story a'la warhammer 40.000. Inspired by Gaunt's Ghost and the Black Company. Anyone got feedback for me? Is it original enough? I'm planning to research actual strategies used in alpine warfare, eg. Kashmir, to make it gritty and realistic. Here...

Nests - Start of a 'Film Noire' Style Murder Mystery

Nice! I really liked this, kept me reding for the whole thing. I like the casual way you introduce the setting, it doesn't feel forced at all, you just naturally find out stuff at a nice pace. How long is this going to be though, cause if it's only a short story it's ok but for a longer piece...

    Wrench - Ace mechanic!

haha :D Sorry about the shortness, it's just a piece i wrote to intoduce the character. I will probasbly write a few more, for the other characters as well. I just wanted to know if it seemed like an interesting character or a generic one.

Marvellous March Manuscripts? So what are you reading this month?

I just finished First and Only by Dan Abnett, the first Warhammer 40K book. I thought it would be cool becuase I like the warhammer world, but I found it to be lacking in decriptions, plain language, and an uninspiring plot with predictable twists. I really felt like he was trying to hard to...

Describe your character/story in eight words

Re: Describe your chacter/story in ehight words I gotta say, even if I'm bumping an old thread, that this is one of the most awe-inspiring, imagination-igniting, and all around great quotes I've ever read. Props man! Are you actually writing something? Cause I'd love to read it.
