    City of Ships is "finished"

Hooray, and congrats! What's the publication date on that looking like? I'm looking forward to more Lucien.

There will be a sixth Stravaganza!

Haha, you should have seen the boards in the old days... practically every single girl on there (and let's face it, we were mostly girls) had an enormous crush on him. There were entire threats dedicated to him and his fictional assets.

There will be a sixth Stravaganza!

I loved Matt. I thought he was cute and original. But Lucien is my favourite, of course, especially when he was all sweet and serious and British and not Talian-ised. You just wanted to hug him. Anyway, that's great about the sixth book! It's great to know it's still going. I remember my...

    Stravaganza on Live Journal

I love LJ, I'll join! I'm elki308 on LJ, btw. I'll try and get some of my f-list to join. :)

City of Secrets edited for swearing

I think there was some swearing occasionally in the first three books, I remember reading it and noticing it quite recently. It's true that most teenagers would probably say what you've put in your books. I'm sixteen, I do it. But I can see why your editor's done it - if you look at the covers...

    Question On Reading Order

Yep, that was one of the main reasons I wanted The Imperial series - I thought that the writing would probably be miles better than the first series. OK, thanks so much for your help! I'll go ahead with Imperial Spy. :)

    City of Secrets publication delayed

Oh, how irritating. Three months (I think... my maths isn't brilliant) more just for a jacket? Eugghh. I did see on Amazon a couple of days ago that it said July for the publish date, but I figured it was just a typo. :-/

    Anyone read Wolf Brother?

I think the books get better as they go on - the plot lines get stronger, and you really start to become attached to the characters. There are now four books out, including WB, and I loved all of them. It gets a bit darker though, towards the last couple of books, but really, really great books...

    Holly Black

I read "Valiant" and I didn't like it at all. I thought it was really bad actually, had too much swearing and sex in it, and the Beauty and the Beast plot line featured practically nil. But I might try Tithe and see if I like that better. You guys seem to like Tithe better, so I'll give it a shot.

What would your Dæmon be like?

I love my daemon! His name is Pyrrheus, and he's a Snow Leopard. Apparently, I am spontaneous, modest, shy, solitary and humble. Huh. I'm not so sure about that, but a snow leopard is really very cool. Unlikely to be me if daemons really existed, but still great. I think I'd probably end up as...

    Question On Reading Order

I went to a talk with Mark a couple of days ago, and am now curious to try his books. :) I know that The Darkweaver Trilogy came out before the Imperial series but Imperial Spy appeals to me a lot more, for some reason. I know that the two series are linked, but do I need to read Darkweaver...

    Dianna Wynne Jones

I really like practically all the books I've read by DWJ. I've read... Chrestomanci series, F&H, Hexwood, HMC, Time Of The Ghost, Power Of Three, and The Merlin Conspiracy. I still can't understand Fire & Hemlock though, no matter how many times I read it. Love it, but don't understand half of...

    Stravaganza Book 4 is finished!

A little belatedly, I just want to say how excited I am about this! I really can't wait to get hold of this! I'm so happy that we're getting a new book, it's fantastic. :) (And we get some more Luciano.....) Oh and by the way, Mary, met Mark Robson yesterday night with my friend Rachael (she...

    Mary Hoffman; Stravaganza

I've signed up, like you said, Mary! :) First post, though (it feels so weird to be back on just one). Oh, and I forgot to say - I read The Falconer's Knot as soon as it came out (of course). I keep meaning to write a review or something, but I have so much coursework I keep getting put off...
