    4.16: The Walking Dead - A

"Spoilers" I found the episode extremely effective. The flashabcks in which Herschel is telling Rick how he's needed a different way in a more secure and peaceful time. As a father to Carl, and really as a father to the group. As a leading example of hope. But wow, we sure found out...

Why don't I like this show?

    It's about hope.

    Pendergast anyone?

I read them up to maybe Dance of Death. I might have that title wrong. I was never totally taken by the Pendergast character. Some of the side characters were more interesting, though honestly, it's been a while and even they haven't stuck with me. I actually enjoy their non-Pendergast...

    Satirical and Dark-Witted Authors

Books like Neighbors and Sneaky People, maybe a couple others by Thomas Berger might fit the bill. Or Reuben, Reuben or Slouching Towards Kalamazoo by Peter DeVries. Sneaky People is one of my all time favorite books.

Honor Harrington - whats the big deal?

I'm reading "On Basilisk Station" right now. It's only my second Weber book, the first being "The vampire book," which was horrible. I'm enjoying this one. I wanted to buy it for my reader for some time, and never understood why it and the next in the series weren't offered digitally. That...

Science Fiction & The Music Of Tomorrow

Take a look at The Memory of Whiteness by Kim Stanley Robinson. It follows an orchestra's tour around the solar system playing concerts at various human settlements. There are futuristic instruments if I recall correctly.

    Book about a meteorite

Well, apparently there has been talk of a sequel by the authors. On their website you can read a "Webilogue" to the book consisting of fictional newspaper articles written after the events of the story took place. It's pretty cool, and the articles definitely set up a possible sequel.

    Book about a meteorite

The Ice Limit by Dougls Preston and Lincoln Child. Good book. I wish they would write more non-Pendergast novels. Riptide is another good one.

That's a remake of a Swedish movie titled Let the Right One In, which in my opinion is even better.

I'm pretty sure I'm correct. The author's name is Gerry Turner. Found it on the Google machine.

    60's or 70's Teen Sci-Fi Novel

Stranger from the Depths? I read a book by that name that I got through Scholastic Books likely in the late 1960s or early 1970s.

    Wool - by Hugh Howey

It's quite good, and as previously mentioned very original. I'm starting into the next trilogy called The Shift Omnibus. First Shift is giving the backstory to Wool. I give these books four out of five silo rating.

    Justified (Some SPOILERS)

I've thoroughly enjoyed the slightly more lighthearted, if you can call it that, tone of this season after last season's psychopathic villain. Though there have still been the instances of sudden violence. And while I would not have thought it possible, Boyd has become even more fascinating...

    Justified (Some SPOILERS)

It really is such a great show. The fourth season has not disappointed, and Theresa, all the relationships you've noticed continue and expand to varying degrees. Boyd has really become complex. More warm and more cold at the same time. I loved Winona, because try as she might, she just...
