    Eddings now and forever

Hi Jerchar I love Eddings and it's nice to see that I have someone else here that thinks his books are great (with a couple of exceptions, one being the Riven Codex!) I really like most of the charactors but when it's been a while between readings I confess to mixing some of them up. I reread...

    Recomendations for Celia Dart-Thornton books

I've just finnished the Bitterbynd by Celia Dart-Thornton and wondered if anyone has read anything else by her that they could recommend. I really enjoyed the Bitterbynd, I couldn't put them down and have already lent them out because I was talking about them so much!

Is Eddings a light hearted Tolkien

Yes I agree, if your talking about reading one or two books but people keep buying Eddings (popularity). And speeking for myself I would never read 20 or so books by the author if I thought they were poor and I would hope we are all as careful with our choices (quality).

Books you couldn't bear to finish.

I HATED Misery, all that ebing and flowing and waves of semi-concious pain was more than I could bare! I think I lasted until about half way and then rented the video which was almost as bad. But I have to say that Misery is by far the worst book I've ever nearly read!

Is Eddings a light hearted Tolkien

Well, I think everyones being a little hard on Eddings, If his work was so bad we would'nt all have read him. Fantasy is Fantacy after all, if they were all completly unique we would'nt have a classification for them! I think it's the characters that make the Eddings books an enjoyable...

    David Eddings

After looking at the other postings, I feel I should defend The Redemption of Althalus. I thought it was great and a nice change not to have to read 10 books to find out how it ends!!!!!!!! Enjoy, I did!

I've been a fan of Eddings for an age! And I've had the Elder Gods for at least a year and can't seem to get motivated to read the thing! Please could someone tell me its worth reading it and not just the same old same old. The only others I've not read are the Codex with I gave up on and the...
