Nightshade books is reissuing his Jules De Grandin . I just picked up volume one in hardcover. In the end there will be 4 volumes to follow which will have all of his 93 De Grandin stories. :)

Well done Baylor.
That's why I like Chrons, I'd never heard of this author or his book series.
I saw this and found one free ebook online ... now I intend to order more cos I enjoyed it a lot

Thanks
Danny

Volume 2 is now in stores.:)

I just ordered volume one of this collection yesterday having heard good things about this author on another literature forum I frequent (SFF World). Basically it was posited that this author was more popular during the Lovecraft/Howard/Smith era and my interest was piqued. I'll order the subsequent volume next week but I look forward to reading these stories.

I'd suggest reading a few stories at a time. These are fun in much the way Agatha Christie's Hercule Poirot short stories (probably an influence on Quinn -- the character if not the actual stories) are fun. For me, more than 2-3 at a time and the formula starts to become too apparent.

That said, in February I was having trouble concentrating on reading. Couldn't find anything that appealed to me, put a couple of books aside for when I felt more attentive. I ended up reading several of the stories in the first volume because most are gleefully silly (and to some degree I think intended to be so) and undemanding reading.
