What are you working on right now?

You owe me a beta, mister. Locke & Co'll be finished any week now. :D (Happy to beta your new thing, of course!)
You know I'm up for beta reading.

34,263 words right now.

Characters gone down one journey of self discovery, or realization.

Slowed down a bit on writing due to nearly passing out from my real job. Had a funny moment editing where I dropped a characters name which sounds exactly like another word into the MC's dialogue. Made me chuckle.

Really enjoying how this is coming out. It's been a rollercoaster of emotions. Which is what I like, and grey morality which is apparently a literary fetish of mine. There's also a running joke between two friends that keeps on popping up.:ROFLMAO:

If anybody says they don't have a running joke between friends I am calling you a dirty liar! Unless well you don't have friends then...umm. There is always one thing that occurs. You and your friends will never forget, it will come up in conversation and it will alleviate any situation. Please tell me I'm not the only one who has had this happen?:cautious:

37k words on the post apoc story.

Actually these were tough to write as I had to balance on a knife which emotion I wanted them to feel. I did not want to rush it, and there was a critical reveal for the MC as he confronts something he was hiding.

Of course the people he's around do not really care and in fact one character is running with one thing he says about himself.:inlove:

I feel I got a good chemistry between the characters. There's even logical 'excuses' for their jabs, and jokes.:p

The next upcoming scene is going to be a harder to write as I need to dive deep into a culture. I might need to plan this out as it's a massive ceremony for these people, but their culture to begin with is a little skewed. :p

Dug up a bunch of old stories I shelved for a friend. These are things I wrote years ago. I found one of the first stories I wrote and I dumped it because it was bad. Turns out it wasn't bad at all, just the topic matter was very grim.

I sent over 6 stories and as I re-read many of them I felt a vigor and spark take over. Even one my delightful ex read and was saying was absolute cringe is turning out to just be another example of her putting me down.:devilish:

My friend read that story and told me things about it and my writing that inspire hope.:)

You see I write a lot.:cautious: I have a tendency to rotate stories when I get bored. It's my way of dealing with writer's block. Can't write that story! GO onto another one and put it on the back burner until you have that spark occur where YOU MUST GO BACK TO THE OTHER ONE!

That's the good thin about having most of my stories be inside a single lore. I can have characters in one story reference events in another story and as they're rambling on I suddenly feel the urge to jump across the street and follow the characters in the first story.

My characters must be really tired of a crazed maniac chasing them through the streets with a typewriter clanking away. Don't speed up! THIS ISN'T A CHASE SCENE!

It's just finishing a story I have difficulties with, but however I can just need a bit of that push. Or a place to come rest my feet spew out utter nonsense in a thread like this and go back to writing.

Hi, I'm R.T James and I'm a writeaholic.

Edit: For example I just put 4k words into the one story my Ex thought was cringe. 1k words into the story that was one of my firsts, and 466 in my post apoc story.

How do you have so many words? Where do they come from? *wails*

I'm currently recovering from the TMNT series five finale (uber dark, tres weird) and about to head off on my holibobs so I'm working on nothing. Nothing! Ha ha ha ha ha ha ha.

Been worked to death recently. Physical labour in high humidity in temps between 85-93 degrees. So I've been ran ragged.

I found a story I misplaced. Oh how I missed it. Got stuck on a scene due to my miserable situation with my ex while she wasn't my ex. Kind of hard to write happy relationships when your thoughts are being sucked into the airlock of negativity that is a onesided relationship.

Wrote a scene I've planned and wanted to write out for quite some time.

Tonight I'll sit down and focus on writing more into the other works if I don't instantly pass out. 12 hour shifts are tough in high humidity.

I started Red Creek August 27th, and should hit 30,000 words tonight!

Also worked on Sleepy Grove last week, making it almost work as a book, and sent it to one beta...I'm afraid... no one has read this yet. It's been done for months, and I havent had the guts to share it.

What's next is we become billionaires and buy an island with 2 houses. Obviously mine will have the servants and pool. LOL

Well done my friend. Looking forward to getting this into the writersphere!

I'm doing my actual paying job, but writing reviews in my head...

ETA - Since the "bunch of mini-reviews all together" format seemed to be really popular on the twittar, I'm doing it again. This time I'm going for a group of roughly fairy tale themed stories...

I am performing diagnostics for possible major surgery on my completed novel, the Quantum Accident. Some thing(s) are turning publishers away.
