Fourteen-year-old Elowen Aubyn lives a miserable life in an orphanage. Bullied and lonely, she dreams of escape and adventure, little realising her dreams are about to come terrifyingly real...

The opening part of an epic fantasy trilogy, The Map of the Known World is a tale of magic, adventure and friendship.

I started reading this a while back, but then got lost in my own publishing deadline and then focused on research material. What I read so far wasn't at all bad, and I hope to finish it when I'm back to reading for fun rather than work. :)

I scribble the occasional short SF story but usually for my fifteen yr old, he has been known to pass them on to his mates. I've started a long one (a long time ago!) but it keeps getting put onto back burner for your reason.
I don't think I could EVER make myself stop reading for fun so I could concentrate on writing.
Respect shout out to committed writers everywhere!

As a Yorkshireman, I endorse this price tag.
